Amy Guarino, Marketo

Amy Guarino leads the business development efforts at Marketo, the fastest growing revenue performance management company, and one of the fastest growing SaaS companies ever. Throughout her impressive career, Amy has utilized her sales and management capabilities to quickly drive results at several start-up and mid-size companies, across a wide breadth of markets and geographies.  Over the years, she has demonstrated a proven commitment to customer value and satisfaction by understanding critical business issues and creating success even in complex and difficult situations.  Amy’s leadership throughout her 20+ sales and marketing career has also aided in the building of winning teams and networks of influencers and partners by recruiting, leading, and developing people across organizations.

Prior to joining Marketo, Amy headed Right90’s global channels and alliance efforts and was Biz360’s Vice President of Global Sales, a marketing analytics SaaS company. She has also held senior management positions at Latitude Communications, AlterEgo and iPass, specializing in building indirect sales organizations. She began her career with a 13-year stint at IBM in various sales, management and channel roles. Amy has a B.A. in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame. 

Nominee’s Achievement in the Field of Sales Lead Management:
Throughout her lengthy career, Amy has been an inspiring sales and marketing leader.  Over eight years ago at Biz360, she was an early pioneer in the field of analytics for marketers, helping marketing executives understand the value of data to understand the impact of their public relations strategy as well as their competitors’ public relations strategy in order to drive mindshare. 

As You Mon Tsang, Founder of Biz360, noted: “At Biz360, Amy Guarino helped us find the partners and companies who were early adopters to marketing analytics and influencer marketing.  These companies included the likes of Oracle, Xerox and Edelmen PR.  Amy guided us forward with strong business and evangelism skills.”

Six years later, Amy was glad to see how much the field of marketing analytics had evolved when she joined Marketo.  As a result of the evolution of the B2B buying process, it was clear that sales and marketers had to evolve their processes in order to support the new revenue cycle.  Her sales point-of-view has helped her build out an indirect sales channel and strategic partners who drive over 18% of Marketo’s bookings while helping Marketo’s customers achieve quick time to value by focusing on the people, processes and marketing services that can be used on conjunction with Marketo’s platform.
