2014 Nominee: Ellie Mirman, HubSpot

Nominee's Achievements:

Ellie Mirman was one of the first employees at HubSpot, joining back in 2007 when the company was founded. Today, Ellie leads HubSpot's inbound marketing Flannel team, focused on inbound lead generation and nurturing. She specializes in lead generation, email marketing, sales and marketing alignment, and marketing analytics. She has experience launching new lead generation channels, including HubSpot's email marketing program, growing it into the largest lead generation channel, as well as HubSpot's webinar series, attracting thousands of attendees to each event. She led the product team's customer research efforts and loves to work at the intersection of Marketing, Sales, and Product. Ellie is also a leader in the HubSpot chapter of Toastmasters International, ToastSpot. Ellie speaks at conferences, events, and in classrooms frequently on inbound marketing best practices.

Outside of HubSpot, Ellie is the program coordinator for Founder Mentors, a Boston-based organization that matches new entrepreneurs with experienced founder mentors. Ellie graduated with great distinction from McGill University, where she received a BA in World Religions.

Nominee’s Achievement in the Field of Sales Lead Management:

Ellie was HubSpot's first member of the marketing team as CMO Mike Volpe's first hire. HubSpot's marketing team now consists of over 60 people.

Ellie is the head of HubSpot Flannel marketing, meaning she manages the teams that are responsible for email, landing pages, social media, SEO, co-marketing, and workflows.

Ellie launched HubSpot's first conference, Inbound Marketing Summit, in 2008. Since then, the event has transformed into the INBOUND conference which attracted over 5,000 attendees last year.

Ellie tracks, manages, and analyzes HubSpot's service level agreement (SLA) with the Sales organization. She quantifies a lead goal each month and works with the marketing and sales teams to deliver on this goal.

Ellie has spoken at conferences including MarketingSherpa's Email Marketing Summit, Business Connect B2B Conference, Social Crush, American Marketing Association events, Social Fresh, INBOUND, and more.
